Hi, all. 2012 is nearly done and 2013 is barreling down on us faster than expected. We got a lot accomplished here at ECV Press but we did not get a lot printed. That will quickly be changing in the coming months. The Continuum #4 is nearly done. We are only waiting on some final pages to the Triad story and judging from the previous pages we have gotten from the new artist Fabricio Bohrer it will be well worth the wait. After that The Continuum Universe #5 and 6 will not be far behind since I have been using this delay to get the stories in those issues done. We also have The Hunters #3 half way done, and are proud to have Adriano Vicente back on the title, and Relic & Ego #5 in the works.
Thank you again for your support and patience. 2013 will be the best year so far for ECV Press.

Right this moment we are 3 1/2 hours into the 24 Hour Comics Day for 2012. Myself and ECV Press writer Jesse Jones are both participating down at Empire’s Comics Vault along with a dozen others. It is always a lot of fun and if you are in the Sacramento area you should stop by and join us or at the very least come in and see the work being done. 24 pages, written and drawn, in 24 hours. It is pretty epic and some of the work that is done blows my mind. Well, it is quite literally back to the drawing board.

As you know, we’re competing in SacGeek.com‘s Best of Sacramento contest. Please vote for ECV Press creator and writer Ben C. Schwartz. SacGeeks.com and The Urban Hive (one of Sacramento’s amazing coworking shared workspaces) are hosting this event to show off local comic book and pop art creators.
This Second Saturday, October 13, 2012, is extra special, because… well, it’s Second Saturday! As part of the festivities, Drewski’s Hot Rod Kitchen, an award winning gourmet food truck, will be present (buy and eat The Mustang! So delicious). Sactown DJ Entertainment will spin the tunes. Also present will be many of the creators, artists and writers, so you can chat with them and learn more about their craft.
The exhibit is available for viewing the entire month of October.
Event Location: The Urban Hive, 1931 H Street, Sacramento, CA
Date/Time: Saturday, October 13, 2012, starting at 4 p.m.
For all of you in the Sacramento area this is a great time to get out and immerse yourself in the geek culture. Next weekend, Sunday September 30th, come on down to the Scottish Rite Center from 10-5 for Sac-Con. Dig through comic bins, search for Golden & Silver Age treasures, hunt down that variant toy, enjoy the cosplay fashion shows and most importantly check out all of Sacramento’s creative talent. ECV Press will be on hand with a whole host of locals bringing out there small press comics, prints, key chains, posters, previews of works to come and so much more. We will have all 12 of our books available along with prints and some original art work. Sac-Con deals await! So f you are coming down make sure you stop by and say hi.
